ICE AGE DISCOVERY CENTER
DId you know that one of the most significant Ice Age fossils ever discovered was in Snowmass Village? This center in Snowmass Mall offers hands-on displays and information on the discovery of the 150,000 year-old mammoth fossils.
ASPEN CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (also dubbed “ACES” by locals), works to connect visitors and locals alike to the natural environment that takes our breath away every day. With an emphasis on eco education, this center hosts free on-mountain tours in addition to a lineup of riveting programs. From snowshoe tours and hirable guides, birds of prey seminars, to kids classes and night programs, ACES never fails to craft thought-provoking and interesting programs focused on Aspen and Snowmass.
