A Rocky Mountain Christmas: A Tribute to John Denver

This winter, as part of Military Ski Week in Aspen Snowmass, we'll be hosting a fantastic group of musicians at Aspen's famous Wheeler Opera House. Mack Bailey, a noted musician and music therapist, will be joined by Chris Nole and Mollie Weaver to host this intimate, acoustic holiday show on December 15, 2017 for our honored guests of the week.

Mack Bailey is a renowned singer-songwriter, and a member of the Challenge America family. Over the years Mack has been vital to the team, spearheading our music therapy program and working with veterans and military service members living with ptsd. Mack also performs solo, with his wife, Rachel Levy, and in two popular folk groups. In early 2004, he became anew member of the world-renowned legendary folk trio, The Limeliters (), a beloved group that has entertained audiences all over the world for over 35 years. As a member of a revived group formed in 1959, The Hard Travelers and many "Tribute to John Denver" productions, Mack has performed with dozens of folk and country stars

Chris Nole has collaborated with the best in the biz over his many years in music. From Faith Hill to John Denver to Travis Tritt to Shelby Lynne to Don Williams, Chris has added his signature piano sounds and vocals to many a concert tours and recording sessions. Widely known for his soulful approach on the keys, Chris will take you to another place with his own fresh musical compositions and lyrics. From singer/songwriter pop blues, to solo piano moods, Chris covers a wide range of originality throughout his eclectic musical catalog.

Mollie Weaver has a family history in the music business and grew up around musicians, most notably John Denver. She began performing professionally as a teen with the John Denver Band, which led to opportunities to record her own music and perform in the tribute shows over the past 20 years. While living in New York, Mollie sang with the New York City Opera, in several WB television series and Japanese anime and as a professional background singer. She has provided vocals for many famous artists and composers. Most notably, Mollie has sung for Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Neil Young, Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Dave Matthews, Tom Jones, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, the American Idol band, the Voice band and of course, John Denver. Her voice has been used on several films including Divergent, Rock the Kasbah and soon to be released Please Stand By with Hans Zimmer protégée, Heitor Pereira. Mollie would say the highlights of her career have been performing twice at Carnegie Hall with friends Pete Huttlinger and Chris Nole. She is also very proud to have recorded two albums in 2015 with Pete under the name Parnassus. Mollie spends her time in Los Angeles working as a professional singer and writing her own music with her band Mihi Nihil, which has their debut music release early in the new year.
